Graphic Design Internship Available

Tipton Communications is seeking a graphics design intern for summer.

Job Description *

We are a rapidly growing communications company located in Newark DE.  We are looking for a hands-on, self-motivated individual to join our team. This individual will work from home two days a week as a paid internship. You must have your own Macintosh computer and CS5. You must be available during work hours. 

- Collaborating with other design roles, writers, and internal and external clients to develop final products. 

- Using and demonstrating working knowledge of design software programs throughout the design and development of multichannel projects.  

- Presenting creative concepts align with the agreed-upon design strategy. 

- Being accountable for and maintaining graphic consistency, standards, and accuracy on all projects. 

- Prototyping graphic elements of new or enhanced multichannel components (e.g., typography, visually differentiating client custom sites, and use of colors). 

- Providing functional support and working effectively with your design manager, peers, and other teams to ensure department productivity. 

- Demonstrating commitment to process excellence and individual performance and development. 

- Demonstrating a strong work ethic, desire to learn, and a commitment to process excellence and individual performance and development. 

- Being flexible and demonstrating the ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously. 

- Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications :

Working towards a degree in graphic design with a portfolio of sample work

Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite CS5 

Mac Platform

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent creative design, layout and production skills

Ability to develop creative, original and innovative designs for a variety of mediums

Ability to work as part of a team and operate with a service-oriented mentality

Ability to manage multiple projects on a daily deadline;

Good “people skills" and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with diverse personalities across the organization

Self-motivated and detail oriented
